If only you could sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person.

A great article on modern dating

I’ve been thinking a few of these things for a while now but haven’t had a chance to write them in a way I liked. Then I found out someone else did it, so here you go.

Highlights:

  • Texting is not for actual conversation.
  • Be straightforward about your intentions
  • If you hope to impress, don’t let me pay.

I bought a bike! I’m so excited.
We got it from Bicycle Sport Shop. Just want to give them a shout out for being awesome.
Officially, the bike is for a duathalon I somehow got put in charge of. But I finally have a bike to ride on trails and on short trips to the store! Today I rode it in my parent’s neighborhood among the deer and horses and it was the loveliest.

Last night I went to a fundraising gala for the Zach theater featuring Tony award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell. His performance was breathtaking. I was changed.

Most everyone there was mega rich. You know, the kind of people who spend all their money supporting the arts and none of their money on eating. Beautiful, rail-thin rich arts supporters. It was kind of fabulous.

I also got to see my boy Justin do his thing on stage with the company of Ragtime! Can’t wait to see the show.

Lots more to do in Austin! Many on this list are things I almost did, so it shouldn’t be too hard to get this all checked off in a year.
